I have noticed that a trend within the past few years is that lawmakers think a great way of saving money is to cut library services or cut the library completely. The library being a resource for the community and the region's education aside, what makes this a good idea? I thought this was an American trend, more proof of ignorance that decides the bottom line, but today I found this article which leads me to pose: What do the Brits think they're doing?!
A side note... My boyfriend once said it'd be great to have a Netflix for books for people like me. I said, well, though they already do, they also a one that's totally free! It's called a library!
